ABOUT

Hi there friends, thanks for finding your way here. I'm Ash (they/ he) I'm a fine artist and tattooer. I primarily tattoo at Lost Lakes Tattoo in Madison, WI. I'm stoked to work with you to create custom designs that compliment your body.  I aim to make each clients tattoo experience positive, affirming, and safe. All bodies and identities are welcome! As an independent self-employed artist I deeply appreciate your support! 

I'M A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST

My professional studio art practice is based in traditional printmaking, woodcut, lithography, engraving, and I bring that skillset to my tattoo designs and technique. I have a MFA and MA from UW Madison as well as a Master Printer title from Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico.  I also lecture undergraduate Printmaking at UW Madison. So when I talk to clients about their projects, I bring 5 years of tattooing experience and 15 years of collaborative art making to the table when we bring your project to life. 

QUALITY DESIGNED WORK

This inquiry form is meant to allow you to share your project ideas with me. It does not guarantee that you will get an appointment/ quote. I will absolutely not entertain plagiarism/ will not copy anything found online/ social media without the express permission of the artist. Even if I'm not the artist for you I will try to make a recommendation for an artist I feel would be a good fit. All custom designs are crafted with skill and love, I will never use AI for tattoos. 

'DO I GET TO SEE THE DESIGN?'

YES, if I take your project on, in most cases I try my best to send a basic design outline the evening or morning before your appointment. At the appointment there is time to sit down together and make any changes necessary to feel perfect. Should you need more agency and feedback in the design process, or have a large project, you may also request a free in-person design consultation which takes place before an appointment is made. 

'WHEN WILL YOU GET BACK TO ME?'

'WHEN CAN I GET AN APPOINTMENT?'

I'm currently booking February-April 2026 

My base hourly rate reflected in most quotes is $200/hr, however for more difficult areas of the body to tattoo the quote may reflect a higher amount at the artists discretion.

DEPOSIT
All appointments will require a deposit minimum of $100 but may be more depending of the size/ cost of the project. Deposits are non-refundable and will contribute to the total cost of the project at completion.
