Aftercare Suggestions

Being kind and intentional to your tattoo while its healing will ensure you keep it looking awesome for years to come!
Aftercare directions vary artist to artist because no tattoo or person is the same. Its always best practice to defer to your artist post tattoo about your personal aftercare plan. See the general suggestions below for an idea of what you can expect.

‘second skin’ bandage wraps for post tattoo coverage have a lot of different brand names. I prefer using the brand Dermshield as its matte and flexible and I’ve had good luck with it overall.
My best method for removing Dermshield is to allow warm water to run over it for 5-10 minutes in the shower and peel it away from your body. I follow with a gentle wash with liquid soap and then moisturize following that tattoos aftercare plan.

Do not sunburn your new tattoo! Avoid direct sun during healing. In my experience, its okay to wear mineral sunscreen 14 days after the initial tattoo session.

NO SWIMMING
Swimming and submerging the tattoo is off limits for 14 days after the initial appointment. During that time avoid submerging the tattoo in all standing bodies of water, i.e. the pool.
